Graduate student Noelia Lander was awarded a one-year continuation of her predoctoral fellowship from the American Heart Association. Noelia studies polyphosphate metabolism in Trypanosoma cruzi, the agent of Chagas disease, an endemic and heart failure-inducing disease affecting 10 million people in Latin America.
