How to enroll:

  1. Select the “Immunology Certificate program” on the My Programs page in Athena to add it to your curriculum. You should do this while you’re are pursuing the certificate, not at completion.
  2. Once you have completed all requirements, you will then apply to “graduate” with the certificate via Athena - just like applying to graduate for a degree (see https://reg.uga.edu/faculty-and-staff/training-materials/).
  3. Then, the Registrar’s Office will check to verify you have fulfilled the certificate requirements and your transcript will note ‘Awarded’ for the certificate if everything looks to be in order.
  4. The Department of Cellular Biology will also notify your home department of your certificate completion and provide a physical certificate that will be awarded to you at your departmental graduation ceremony.

For more information, see https://bulletin.uga.edu/CertDisplay/55.

The certificate contacts are Drs. Sam Kurup (samar@uga.edu) and Kim Klonowski (klonowsk@uga.edu).
