Image: My name is Medhini Anand, and I am a fourth-year student majoring in Cell Biology with a minor in Classical Culture. I conduct research in Dr. Klonowski’s lab, where I study how neonatal T-cells respond to influenza infections in the lungs. Outside of the lab, I serve as the president of First Page at UGA, a student-run nonprofit organization dedicated to improving literacy in Athens-Clarke County, and as the Editor-in-Chief of Her Campus UGA, the university’s chapter of the national media organization.
