Dr. Julie Stanton Receives USG Regents’ Scholarship of Teaching and Learning

Dr. Julie Stanton has been selected as the recipient of the 2021 University System of Georgia Regents’ Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. This prestigious award supports the work of faculty members whose scholarship focuses on the instructional mission of their institution. It represents the USG’s highest recognition for teaching and advising, and illustrates Dr. Stanton’s commitment to ensuring academic excellence.

In choosing Dr. Stanton the committee noted, “Her contributions also include investigating small-group work and metacognition, how students from diverse backgrounds bring a host of strengths and experiences to achieve success in science, and the benefits of undergraduate research.”
