Associate Professor I received my graduate training in vertebrate neurobiology and pharmacology, and did my postdoctoral work at Yerkes Regional Primate Research Center at Emory University. Now at UGA, my specialty is undergraduate education in the Department of Cellular Biology, where I teach Human Physiology, Human Anatomy and Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy. In my classes, I attempt to give students many opportunities to succeed; my goal is to equip students with the ability to analyze and synthesize information, and not to simply memorize facts for recall during testing. I am writing a student study guide to accompany Lindsay's Human Anatomy text, and a physiology laboratory manual to better serve the needs of the physiology student entering the health profession.
